This page contains notes from a trip with friends in January 2007
Last content update: December 14, 2006
On a trip such as the one described here you can experience the sights, Viennese Balls, and a Volkstanzfest of Vienna. This trip was planned by Drs. Carol and Herbert Traxler, Washington's well-known Tanzmeister (www.viennesewaltz.org) and folk dance teachers and performers, the founding leaders of the Alpine Dancers & Singers (www.alpinedancers.org). The Traxlers frequently travel to Vienna, Herbert's native city, where they often participate in Viennese Balls, and in folkdance festivals and workshops.
The trip allowed for various options for travelers on their own; however, specific suggestions were offered for events, some of which are regularly attended by the Traxlers. The Traxlers can advise individuals on desired alternatives as they share their experience, knowledge and love of Vienna and Austria with you.
We recommend you plan and arrange for:

Warning: please note that the lowest ticket prices may be for students with ID only, and there may be an age limit as well.
